Prayer is communication with God. It’s a conversation that takes place in a realm other than this natural realm. You know, it’s it’s a conversation that takes place in the spiritual realm. And in that place, there is a broad and beautiful spectrum of ways in which this actually happens. In a TIAs are a language of prayer. Laughter is another yearnings that are unspoken, unalterable groans and size of the heart are understood in this conversation. You know, that there are as as well as that there are bold declarations, yells of faith, screams and shouts of joy.

And there’s like war cries in the face of adversity. So much is encompassed in this wonderful, amazing invitation that we call prayer. You are not limited to just reciting certain words in a certain way, at a certain time, at a certain pace and a certain volume. If you can think of the entire spectrum of human communication and expand it on every side like tenfold, then you will be getting slightly close to the idea of what it is to truly pray in a no language on earth is out of bounds.

And God knew that, that the yearning and the cry of the heart, that the spectrum of human ability and human communication was too limited to explore the vast realms of his being and the realms of his purposes. And so one of the gifts that he gave to the kind of new born church was the gift of tongues. So no earthly language is out of bounds. You can speak in any language you choose and you’ll be heard and understood. And then there’s all also these languages, these tongues of angels that are spoken, heard and comprehended in the ears of our father.
00:02:23.930]
You know, whatever dialect we speak, whatever language we speak in, whether it be in an unknown language, whether it be in tongues, whether it be the language of tears or laughter or groans or sighs or like strong hallelujahs, it doesn’t matter. One thing is kind of essentially woven into all of these different ways of communication. They all must come from the heart to be truly prayer. They must proceed from the inner man. You know, this might be in your natural tongue.
00:03:04.730]
Like I stay, like I say, are an inspired utterance moved by the Holy Ghost. But the key the key to this is the source that it comes from. Prayer is the language of the heart. In a way, too many words are wasted because they just had borne earthbound repetitions, vainly espoused by Mel, well-meaning, sincere saints. But they lack power because they’re not coming from the hard neck, kind of coming from the neck up.
00:03:44.360]
But we needed to come from deep down within us. And in a scripture teaches that from the heart, the mouth speaks, bringing forth what it declares and what it believes for the heart or the spirit of man is the engine that drives our prayers and ensures that there that our prayers are of the same substance as the one that we are seeking to reach. Scripture like literally declares God is a spirit, and they that worship him and pray to him must worship and pray, must do so in spirit and in truth.

So like, really, whether we are laying out carefully constructed requests based on the covenant that we have or we are emotionally and spontaneously pouring out our guts in his presence, the key factor is the place that the prayers proceed from. When they are expressed, you know, you can jump over hoops in your mind. You can do all all the mental gymnastics that you want, but your mind cannot leap you over whatever. Stands in the way and sweeps you into the throne room, my dear praying friend, deep calls to deep spirit, calls to spirit.

Heart born utterances in the prayer closet are infused with a substance that the Bible calls faith. Faith gives reality to the request and carries it straight into the presence of the father. This is why in prayer, we must always be aware of our heart and not leave the prayer closet until hard born requests have been made. And sometimes this takes time. I heard one Saints put it this way, he said. We must pray until we pray. We must pray until we pray.
00:05:52.860]
Sometimes we can be saying prayers, but we don’t actually get to the place where we’ve kind of dug through the layers to where there is heart felt hard born expression’s finally coming forth. You know, if you’ve ever prayed through to the place where your spirit took the steering wheel, you will know exactly what I mean. You know, sometimes where we can fall into the trap of making prayer a duty, just another task on the to do list. And, you know, and we’re just keen to fill our quota to leave the closet before we even really answer our first real prayer of the day.
00:06:38.800]
We say some words, absolutely, and then and then go about our day wondering why God feels so distant. I pray that you would, you know, come to a place and let awareness of your inner life rise and the messy noise of the hour to man and the soul subside, take time to peel the layers back until you reach that throbbing, beating wonderful Life-Giving nature on the inside, beyond your natural mind, and tap the tremendous potency of Christ that is in you, the hope of glory.
00:07:19.090]
He is the living words and words spoken from and through and to him will bear the mark and the nature of God himself that you will feel the life in the words that proceed from your heart. You know, the same, the same prayers can be said, the exact same words even spoken. But the difference between one and the other, a spirit born prayer and just a mental prayer, you know, like will be it’s like night and day.
00:07:52.690]
It’s like dark and like the difference between the two. And you will know when your heart engages and you do know when your heart engages in this lofty, beautiful, magnificent exercise called praying because you will be moved, you will feel the substance of faith rising up from your inner man, from deep within and spilling from your lips. You know, the Bible calls it, you know, there’s certainly the old King James, it talks about being moved in our bowels.
00:08:28.220]
I mean, the pictures a little kind of not maybe doesn’t translate to a kind of modern vernacular, but it’s like the seeds of the inner man deep down within us. We must be moved. You know, today we would probably say, you know, you can feel it in your guts. You can feel it deep down on the inside. Real prayers, a gutsy, raw prayer, real. The real man, the real woman standing up on the inside and making their requests known, bringing their whole being before the living God and laying their heart out before him.
00:09:12.030]
It’s a gutsy thing to pray, you know, so much a part of. It’s so much a part of who we are that it’s our entire being is involved in the offering of this this kind of prayer. And I’m not just talking about volume or emotionalism. You know, I’m just pointing out the nature of prayer that it is spirit led spirit born outward from the inner man, whatever dialect it takes. These kind of prayers born in fire man rise like incense, they rise up into the heavenly peace.
00:09:52.770]
And really, the rule of thumb, I guess, would be if it doesn’t move, you wonder why in the world would you expect it to move? God, cold half hearted prayers are really not prayer at all. You know, they they may take the same title, people may kind of label them as the same thing, but really they are of an entirely different nature altogether. We must if we seek to pray, if we desire to enter into this magnificent mystery that we have been actually.
00:10:38.530]
We have we’ve been invited. Is it a mystery? There’s something mysterious about it, certainly. But it’s not a mystery that stands are far off where we just stand longingly looking, hoping that one day we might catch a glimpse. It’s not like that kind of mystery. It’s a mystery that we have been ushered in and given the privilege to discover like a rare treasure. And so I encourage you today, pray from your heart, pray from your inner man.
