I am my own guinea pig.
An object lesson in imperfection.
The willing subject of my own creative experimentation.
I sent an email to two thousand people yesterday containing several errors. [https://ckarchive.com/b/wvu2hgh52elkgu9r552rqte4899xxh8]
“Become where better people can see…”
should have been “Become better where people can see…”
“Putting yurself on the line”
ought to read “Putting yourself on the line”.
Other than a stark reminder that spellcheck is your best friend, there’s another more pertinent lesson for my fellow creatives here.
I didn’t die!
I live to write another day.
One more glorious opportunity to improve and ensure that my emails don’t contain erors or spelling misstakes so I can pretend I’ve got this all in hand and that I’m not making it up as I go along.
Don’t get caught in the headlights of perfectionism.
The creative Christian life is not one that’s free of missteps and mistakes (by that I’m not talking about sin by the way, that’s another discussion).
The life of faith is one lived in bold, and sometimes uncertain steps.
And as we step forward, try, fall, fail, fumble, find, and fly, we grow.
In a gloriously imperfect way!
