In an economy driven by competition and comparison, it’s hard to navigate the minefield without getting your legs blown off.
Jealousy bombs explode everywhere. Comparison snipers shoot their arrows from every hidden nook. Instalife braggadocios shower shame upon your oh-so-ordinary existence.
Thankfully Jesus is even better than Tom Hanks at saving Private Ryan.
He’ll navigate no man's land and pull you from danger.

This week, we’ve been talking about following God’s compass and making Jesus the Captain of your wheelhouse.
Two keys to keep your legs:
- Stay in your sphere (we spoke about this yesterday)
- Stay your heart on God’s specific directions to you (and shield your heart from straying)
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isaiah 26:3 KJV)
There’s that word trust again!
A huge factor in your success will be staying not just the course, but your course.
God’s plans and purposes for you are stamped with your unique flavour of weird.
Take a look at Peter in the Bible.
Jesus asked him, “Do you love me?” (John 21:15-17)
And from that place of connection (everything in the Christian life is grounded in relationship with God) He gave Peter His marching orders.
“Feed my lambs, feed my sheep, tend my flock, follow Me.”
Only minutes later Peter asked the question:
“But Lord, what about this man?” (John 21:21 NKJV)
Are you asking the same question Peter did?
Maybe Jesus answer will be the same today as it was back then.
“Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”” (John 21:22 NKJV)
Essentially Jesus told Peter to mind his own business!
And that’s what I’m diving into next week.
Minding your own business.
