"You cannot swim for new horizons until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore." William Faulkner
Yesterday, I spoke about making Jesus the Captain of your ship.
I shared how a personal Word from Heaven became my North Star.
By God’s grace, my work and the words Papa has spoken to me are closely aligned.
But it wasn’t easy.
All of the plates I was spinning had to go.
It took courage to close my local web design business. I swallowed hard when I sidelined the affiliate income and network I had built up. My Amazon business selling CDs (remember those?) had to go too, as did my SEO consulting.
Taking hold meant letting go.
To step into my wheelhouse, I had to step off the deck and exercise something we all need in our creative life

The Christian life is summed up in this one word.
Following Jesus means staying true to the word He has spoken to us.
Even today I have to remind myself to do that. I still find myself diverted and distracted. I have often run away with my own ideas and crowded my mind and my days with fruitless pursuits.
I’m learning to check in with myself more often and evaluate whether my activities fit within the remit I have been given from Heaven.
Remember how Paul spoke:
“We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us… not boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men’s labors.” (2 Corinthians 10:13-16 NKJV)
He understood that his field of favour existed within the bounds of his commission.
What is your field of favour?
Where will your gifts and anointing shine brightest?
And will you have the courage to begin possessing that field, trusting Jesus for the outcome?
