So far in our entrepreneurial journey we’ve faced famine, strife, rejection, dry valleys, jealousy, contention, and hatred. More and more glamorous with every step, right?
Creative life sometimes doesn’t feel or look like the dream we were sold.
Don’t be discouraged. Easy said, hard done, but possible.
Perseverance and patience are being worked in you, two essential ingredients for a successful and prolonged life of service.
Perseverance
Let’s talk about perseverance.
The trying pathway to prosperous outcomes is proven by the footsteps of the patient.
Scripture encourages you over and again to keep on keeping on:
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4)
“As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.” (2 Thessalonians 3:13)
That is what Isaac did until he arrived at a place he called Reheboth.
Broad, Wide Markets
“And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” (Genesis 26:22 KJV)
“Reheboth” means “broad, wide places or markets” (Zondervan NIV Nave’s Topical Bible)
“Room” (strongs 7337) literally means means ‘broad, wide, spacious’.
Dear creative, if you stay with the journey, through resistance, discouragement, valleys, and changes, God will eventually bring you a wide place and a broad lucrative market.
God Makes Great The Effect Of Your Mouth & Heart
Proverbs uses the word “room” to apply to the increase of money and influence.
“A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” (Proverbs 18:16 KJV)
The term is one that has no single English equivalent, it may best be translated in all its colloquial usages as “made greater the effect of mouth, heart, etc.”
God can make great the effect of your mouth and heart.
It’s the result of consistently investing your gifts to benefit, bless, and build other people.
This is Reheboth!
Your Progress is Evident
The journey to Reheboth has been a hard one, but the lessons learned and the resilience that has been formed, the way in which your message has been proven and honed – the sharpening of your character, and the sifting of your audience – all of them have led you to this place where the effect of your mouth and heart are evident to all.
Paul encouraged Timothy:
“Do not neglect the gift that is in you… give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.” (1 Timothy 4:12–15 NKJV)
You have given yourself often in obscurity and against the odds.
You’ve sought in secret, now the Father rewards you openly.
Here at Reheboth your progress is evident, easy for all to see.
People seek you out. Your words are embraced. Your heart is fully convinced by the journey you have undertaken that there is nothing that is not a product of God’s grace at work in your life.
Whatever worth you bring is from the wealth of His presence working through you.
It seems that all of the tests you’ve endured pay off after all.
Let patience have her perfect work that you might be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Persevere in doing good, and be not weary in well-doing, your service will be rewarded.
There’s a prosperous well awaiting the faithful who make it this far!
Deep truth that his PRESENCE is what produces the profit in every aspect of your life. His PRESENCE, is his BEING, ESSENCE , NATURE, CHARACTER AND SPIRIT. Inspiring
Thank you, David, I appreciate your encouragement!
Thanks for your encouragement, it’s appreciated.
