We live in a world of winners and losers.
At least, that’s what the world would like you to think.
If one wins, another loses. A fixed-pie, zero-sum game.
Get all you can, can all you get then sit on the can
But that’s all a lie.
Your gain and your giving are both ingredients for the future prosperity you’ll enjoy.
Throughout the Scriptures, you’ll hear a common chorus, repeated over and over again, hammering home a heartfelt truth.
“Give, and it will be given,” (Luke 6:38)
“Whoever refreshes others shall be refreshed,” (Proverbs 11:25)
“Whoever sows bountifully will reap bountifully,” (2 Corinthians 9:6–8)
Our giving creates our living. What you sow today seeds your tomorrow.
Ready?
We’re fast approaching the end of another tumultuous year.
How will you determine to end well and set the course for the next 12 months?
Let’s be generous people. Unafraid to put our best work out there. Not hoarders but heartfelt givers of good in every way we can.
I’m not here talking about money, although that may well be part of the mix.
I refer to your gifts. Your grace. Your heart and life decorating the pages of history.
Your gifts and God-given genius are designed for distribution
Look for ways to share your worth that fit well with your personality, and double down on leaving nothing untested, unsaid or unshared.
When you hold nothing in reserve and put your best work out there, something mysterious begins to occur. You attract like-minded people. Your sowing goes to growing and your influence extends.
Don’t hold back. Look for ways to bake your brilliance into content others can consume and be encouraged by. Maybe through books, courses, templates and resources? It could be in an email, podcast, workshop, or workbook – even a kind word sent or said directly to an individual carries inestimable power.
You have something to give that no one else can.
No one can take (or share) your slice of the ever-expanding pie.
Your giving doesn’t diminish you it develops you.
You win!
