Taking action is the only way to learn what really works.
That does not mean you are the cornerstone of your success, or that more action taking will automatically lead to more results. What it does mean is that motion puts things in motion to move towards the results you dream of. You learn far more by doing than by watching, reading or listening.
Best case scenario: Do all four, read, listen, watch, do.
But if you have to lean into percentages, weigh toward the doing rather than perpetual learning, thinking or planning.
Taking Massive Mini Action
Actions do not to need to be massive.
The biggest thing is the actual decision to make a move. That’s where the massive implications play out. Most often the actions themselves are quite obvious and natural. They may not be easy, but they are natural, not alien.
I’m sure you have heard the favourite saying in entrepreneurial circles, “take massive action.” Usually what it means is “take a massive chunk out of your bank account and buy my course, coaching, or service.” But most of the time, and this coming from someone who has spent over $30,000 on training and coaching this year alone, what we need is not more training, it’s doing the things we have already trained in.

Hey there, folks, here I am live again, just being obedient to something the Holy Ghost has asked me to step out in and engage in hope you’re all doing well today. I just want to talk about taking mini actions, OK? Oftentimes we hear we hear the statement taking massive action. I mean, certainly if you’ve been in the online space, this idea of aggressively taking massive action, being the key to breakthrough is kind of a bit of a watchword, something that that’s bandied around.
00:00:47.070]
But, you know, sometimes taking massive action maybe isn’t really what’s required. Sometimes realistically, it’s the small daily actions that make the biggest difference. You know, really, that the massive action, the game changer is that you actually make the decision to act. That’s the key part. Once that decision has been made and you tip into doing rather than thinking or hoping, just something shifts on the inside. And it really is those small daily actions.
00:01:26.940]
You know, I, I like to think of it as like when we turn our hopes into habits, that’s where the game changes for us, because instead of just hoping that one day we might write a book, instead of just hoping that one day we might set up a website and begin to blog or podcast or whatever else it may be, I mean, I don’t want to kind of corner anyone into a specific way of expressing themselves and sharing their value.
00:02:00.240]
But the key thing is that we have to that there has to come a point where we just make a decision that I’m going to step into this. I’m going to begin to take the necessary steps to turn this from an idea into something that’s actually tangible, that’s consumable that other people can engage with. And, you know, the amazing thing is once you’ve got the car moving, once the vehicle is moving, you can then steer that vehicle. You often, as I said last night on our live call, you often don’t know the questions to ask until you actually begin to implement and to do the things that you want to do.
00:02:44.610]
You know, we can watch all the videos we like, we can read all the books we like, we can consume all of the podcasts we like. We can rah rah to whatever motivational speaker or preacher we enjoy listening to. But that has to come a point where all of that motivation translates into motion. And, you know, it’s in the motion of actually doing that. We put we put things in motion to take us and carry us where we want to go.
00:03:17.460]
And I believe that the most powerful way to do that is in small daily actions. And, you know, sometimes we we like to couple decisions up to these big expectations. I like if I write a book, it has to be a best seller. If I create a course, it has to make me X number of dollars and, you know, a lot of the sales pages and things out there, you know, the massive action guys, usually the massive action that they are asking you to take is to drop a thousand dollars to buy their latest cause or whatever else it may be.
00:03:58.470]
You know, and there are times for that. You know, there are times where that is a is the right action to take. Don’t misunderstand me. But oftentimes it’s not those kind of heart wrenching decisions that you don’t have to make those decisions every day. You know, the decision this morning for me are one of the decisions for me was do I get up and do I go for a run? OK, do I get up, do it when I get back from my run, do I do my twenty press ups?
00:04:33.300]
Do I do my twenty sit ups? And I’ve got to admit, sometimes I in that, in that moment of decision I, I squeeze my way out of actually just doing what I know I need to do. I believe for most of us we know what we need to do, we know the actions that we need to take. And it really is just a matter of then making the decision to take those actions uncoupled from outcome. And it’s not that we’re not looking for results, it’s not that we are not believers, that if we so it will yield a harvest and bring a harvest in our life.
00:05:17.860]
We believe in results. We believe that God wants to prosper the the work of your hands. We believe that one hundred percent. But sometimes if we couple too much, it’s almost like we make up our creative projects and idle. We look at those creative projects and we think this project is going to be my answer to this project or this. This idea is going to be my my breakthrough, my provider. But at the end of the day, Jesus is the very foundation, the cornerstone of the house that we’re building.
00:05:54.940]
He will always be our provision and our provider. He will always be our source. He will always be the one who maintains our life and moves our life forward and carries us into the next step. Good and faithful servant. You’ve been faithful in in little, you know. Here, come in and I’m going to give you more. I’m going to you know, when we look at the parable of the stewards and the the master and trusts them with certain things from his house, he says, you know, see this one?
00:06:31.540]
He’s actually taken what I’ve given him and put it to use and multiplied it take from the one who didn’t do anything with what I gave him and give it to this one. It seems so unfair. OK, but we don’t live in a socialist society. We don’t live with a you know, Karl Marx is not sitting on the throne in heaven like I God. His commandment, OK, in the garden was go forth, multiply bear fruit, rule over the earth, take your place of authority, take your place of stewardship and bring my blessing and bring my grace and bring my character to everything that you put your hand to and say, you know, my encouragement tea today is to begin taking whatever small daily actions you need to take.
00:07:25.030]
And by that I don’t just mean take one action today and then no action for the next ten. OK, think think realistically, how can I bite size this thing? How can I begin to exercise myself toward fulfilling the things that that I believe God has placed in my heart? And there will be small daily actions that you can take. One of the small daily actions for me is standing here in front of this camera talking to the wall. Okay.
00:07:55.540]
And just believing that I might help some people out there elsewhere in the world, even if it’s at the uttermost parts and say, you know, we believe in the goodness, we believe in the grace, we believe in the fullness. We believe in the in the anointing that breaks through and brings blessing to others. And so I encourage you to chase after that dream, do something, make a decision this year to engage with even if it’s just one project, engage with that project, passionately engage with that project with all of your heart.
00:08:37.690]
And I’m not talking about making it an idle I’m not talking about sacrificing everything else and quitting your job and becoming an entrepreneur or whatever else, whatever other name you want to give it. I’m talking about ministering to the desire and the hunger of your heart, ministering to that each on the inside and saying, man, this year I’m actually going to write that book. This year I’m actually going to learn how to do video so I can create a course this year.
00:09:10.360]
I’m actually going I’m going to build that blog. I’m going to put that in place and I’m going to begin to write something. Even if it’s just two hundred words, I’m going to write something every day, you know, whatever it may be. And in that, I believe, you know, there’s this there’s this verse in John. It’s and John says, talk talking about prosperity says beloved, I wish or pray above all things that you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.
00:09:42.010]
And, you know, it’s absolutely my conviction that as creative beings, as men and women made in the image of God, you know, you see right there in the book of Genesis in the book, it begins like this is where this is how God introduces himself. He says, Man, Hey, my name is God and I make stuff and stuff I make is so cool, it’s so awesome, I love it. It is good.
00:10:13.910]
It is very good. OK. He rests on the seventh day just to enjoy and revel and relish in all of the things that he’s made. And there’s something about the creative process. There’s something about producing something from the inside and making it tangible outwardly that engages us with the with the spirit and the process of faith, making something apparent that was previously invisible, you know, taking the unrealities of hope and giving substance to them through faith, through action, through belief, through through saying, yes, I believe that this can become and I believe that this can be so and stepping into it in a in a real, tangible way, calling those things that are not as though they were and then once they’re called, actually stepping into them and putting putting feet to your faith and moving towards them, I encourage you to do that, you know, and do it not because not for the you know, in this verse, but love it.
00:11:23.330]
I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health. Seriously, dude, we all want to prosper. We all want to be in health, at least if we’re sensible. But but the key here, the key, the key, the key even as thy soul prospers, OK, it’s the prosperity of your soul. And I tell you, friend, there is satisfaction in acting on the things that God has planted within you.
00:11:58.520]
There is a satisfaction to be had where you sit back and you look and you say, man, that was good. That is so good. You know, you think, OK, Jesus had two people in like this one garden in one place on the whole planet. OK, so really he wasn’t necessarily getting affirmation for all of the cool stuff that he’d created from the people. OK, he wasn’t looking to Adam and Eve to say, here’s what I made good is is what I made good.
00:12:34.670]
He was revelling in the whole stuff, even though no one else was seeing it, even though no one else was looking at it, he was revelling in it and enjoying it and deriving satisfaction from all of this awesome stuff that he’d made simply because he had made it. It was the manifestation of his generous, massive, incredible heart. And you have things that God has planted in your heart. And we don’t start you know, we don’t start with an audience.
00:13:09.200]
We don’t start with a readership. We don’t start with people going, ya, ya, ya. You know, you’re amazing. You’re awesome. We start like like some kind of Muppet in his in his office talking to a canon camera and jumping around like whatever else it may be. You know, you’ve got your thing. I’ve got my thing. But let’s not be discouraged. And I honestly, I’m not discouraged. I do. I’ve been over the years that I’ve been involved in this whole thing.
00:13:40.220]
I have been blessed enough and fortunate enough to be able to build an audience of people that that do get me. Do you do understand some of the the grace and the value that that I bring? But you know, it we all have to start somewhere and we all have to start some time. Yeah, right. Here is the best place to start and right now is the best time to begin. And it doesn’t have to be massive action.
00:14:16.200]
Like it can just be small actions, but make them habits, turn your hopes into habits. Amen.
